Information about John C. Halter and his company  Zarcor

John Halter is 60 years young, and has been sailing for 35 years.  He grew up in Harbor Springs, Michigan, has two grown sons, and has resided for the last 24 years in Dallas Texas.  Although he has sailed in much of the adjoining US and Caribbean waters, his favorite sailing area is the Great Lakes.

John has owned 9 different boats, from a Sunfish  to a J29.  He presently owns a Hunter 33 and enjoys cruising with his first mate (Louise), and competes in an occasional (Texoma Sailing Club) race on Lake Texoma. 

Besides sailing and working (Creating), John is an avid tennis player.
